Benefits of celery juicing

I received an email today from Medical Medium medicalmedium.com/ today about the benefits of celery juice which I think has a lot of good going for it. So I would like to share the points verbatim.

My personal experience is drinking celery and cucumber juice daily, and initially three times a day, many days, for months on end. It is what I call my reset juice. If my body is under serious attack (and for me most likely that is arthritis) and really being challenged then this is my goto recovery plan, 100%. Also I make my own celery juice to sustain me when I do my full yoga days.

1. Critical for chronic acid reflux: Acid reflux means 3 things are happening: low hydrochloric acid production, unproductive bacteria such as strep and e. Coli & a weakened liver. Celery juice helps improve these.

2. Fights autoimmune disease: Pathogens are the true cause of the inflammation that’s mistakenly considered autoimmune. Celery juice’s undiscovered sodium cluster salts can break down & flush out these pathogens.

3. Helps restore adrenals: The undiscovered sodium cluster salts in celery juice help keep your adrenals stable & functioning.

4. Contains undiscovered sodium cluster salts that reverse illness: Celery juice’s undiscovered sodium cluster salts act together as an antiseptic. When they make contact with viruses & bacteria—troublemakers responsible for chronic illness—the salts begin to break down the pathogens’ cell membranes, eventually destroying them.

5. Neutralizes & flushes toxins out of the liver: Celery juice’s sodium cluster salts bind onto neurotoxins, dermatoxins, & other viral waste, as well as troublemakers, & draw them out of the liver.

6. Helps eradicate strep bacteria: Strep is responsible for many conditions, like acne, UTIs, SIBO, yeast infections, & more. Celery juice helps destroy strep.

7. Kills Epstein-Barr & Shingles viruses: The white blood cells of the liver’s personalized immune system add the cluster salts to their cell membrane coatings, making them toxic to viruses.

8. Brings down toxic liver heat: Celery juice purges a sluggish liver while bringing down liver heat.

9. Powerful weapon against SIBO & bloating: Celery juice is a powerful stomach acid replenisher so that gastric juices can kill strep, which causes SIBO. It also breaks down rotting protein & rancid fats in the stomach & small intestinal tract, helping bloating.

10. Repairs hydrochloric acid & liver bile production: Celery juice strengthens hydrochloric acid & bile production & strengthens the liver, which then allows for better bile production.

If possible buy organic celery - it is one of the so-called "dirty dozen" vegetables. And finally, of course, celery juice is not a cure-all, if the rest of your diet is rubbish then no amount of celery juice is going to yield much benefit! Also although for some time I drank a lot of celery juice, I still made sure my diet was balanced. So in the early days that was quinoa, buckwheat, dark leafy greens and so forth.

Enjoy its sweetness.

Do you make it or buy it?

Make my own, every time. Then I know what's going in it AND know that it is totally fresh. Shop bought juices just aren't the same, imo.

Isn't celery juice full of nitrates? I thought nitrates were bad for us in large quantities?

Hi Andy, I was reading last week about the health benefits of celery and I bought some. I love it. I assume you don’t have to juice it to get the benefits ?

Hi andyswarbs

I already had some Celery in the fridge, when the past post on Celery came up, and I have been enjoying it this week - I don't juice it, I purely have a couple of pieces with whatever meal I'm having, because I prefer to eat it that way. I like the flavour and the crunchy texture. My hubby really doesn't like the taste, so the Celery is purely for me. :-)

Zest :-)

Celery is one of the vegetables I always have in my fridge.

I don't know why anyone would want to put it in a juicer. If they have teeth.

You only have to bite into it and the juice fills your mouth.

I can understand juicing a carrot maybe, if you feel you must have carrot juice.

Am all for saving energy.

Is there a health benefit advantage in using a juicer?

Juicing is useful if you have trouble digesting a lot of fibre, or you want/need a concentrated rush of nutrients. Juicing greens is better than fruit. If juicing fruit it is like having a sugary drink since it is the fibre that prevents a sugar rush.

I don't think Anthony William is a reliable source of health information.

SBM as is often the case have a nice take on it:

sciencebasedmedicine.org/th...

I think celery juice is probably healthy, but I'm not sure we need someone who talks to spirits to tell us that. Far better to go with the science.

Great information - I like fresh celery in salads, with olives, tomatoes, and beetroot. Bet it takes more than one celery to make a glass of juice. As there are special cluster salts in celery suppose making celery soup or adding to stews will not reduce these salts through cooking.

Hi Andy, I would love to try the celery juice, it’s benefits and purity sound good. What kind of concentrate should I make, I.e. celery to water etc, ? any other ingredients. Many thanks.Tudee
