Hi everyone,
There's been a lot in the press recently about children eating far too much sugar how we need to eat more fibre and it strikes me that we have been duped with slick advertising for processed and manufactured foods when in reality they are our downfall.
One thing that rings true for many who eat processed foods is that they are over fed and under nourished and that is contrary to why we eat.
I'm not keen on artificial sugars as a replacement for sugar and feel that the real answer is re-training our taste buds. And I for one find many bought confectionary is far to sweet for my taste buds as they make my teeth tingle...๐คข
I'm also not keen on margarines as they have chemicals that our bodies don't recognise and cannot get rid of so they are stored in various parts of our bodies for life, usually our vital organs.
But the NHS is a great institution and they are trying to appeal to as many people as possible and give some very sensible advice.
So here's a link to their Eatwell Guide:

The photo is some veggies I par cooked before baking in a cheese sauce with some roast potatoes, I buy what looks best and the shops were just getting back to normal after the festive break so I chose broccoli celery leeks onions garlic sweet peppers.
We are what we eat and it's worth making an effort to eat well methinks...๐
