How about a big salad as your main course and some fruit on the side?

Ensure you get sufficient calories for your body (age, weight, exercise etc). Too few cals will lead to depression and binge eating. I would recommend swapping out fatty dairy and egg products with whole foods such as chick peas, butter beans, black beans. Learn to cook with no oils - it is suprisingly easy and has added benefits such as easier and quicker washing up, especially cleaning the tiles behind your hob becomes a simple wipe down. The focus to avoid oils is they are the most calorie dense food on the planet. Dropping oils is a no-brainer for easier weight loss.
