Appetite

Hi everyone...I'm writing simply talk about hoping someone might understand my problem..recently for the past couple of weeks I've lost my appetite completely.i feel sick looking at the food n just do not feel hungry. I know how important it is to eat Beacause of my diabetes but just have to force myself to eat a few bites to avoid a hypo. My gp sent to sent straight away to the hospital to have X-ray and tests done but the doctors there said all the tests have come back clear. Maybe it's the constipation that is causing this. I really don't understand how that could be but I'm trying the medication they have given n me. I really want to be able eat again

Hi Hidden

It must be tough to have lost your appetite. So sorry to hear you're feeling sick in that way, and I'm glad that you sought help from your GP and that you've had tests done etc. Maybe discuss it further to see what your GP thinks it could be? I know the tests have come back clear, but they might have an idea. I hope the medication they've given you will be helpful to you, and I'd like to wish you well.

Certainly, constipation can be very distressing and uncomfortable in itself.

Wishing you some relief from your difficulties - and hope that you are able to have a reasonable weekend, in the circumstances.

Zest :-)

Could be that your bowel is full if constipated and pressing in stomach hence making you feel full and sickly I'm no doctor so best going and asking yours for a explanation really Hope you feel better soon My daughter is like you at moment but hers is anxiety

Hi Sid

Because you’ve changed to a gluten free diet recently, this may be giving you constipation. Hopefully the medication will help. Make sure you drink plenty of water.

Hi Penel yes I have changed to a gluten free diet but that has been a while now and this problem has just started now

Aloe Vera helps in these cases

Right. I'd forgotten about aloe. And doesn't slippery elm help too? Been a long time.

Hi sorry you feel so sick and off colour. Did you start any new medications recently? If you did talk to your pharmacist and doctor about them. Glad your various test results came back ok :)

Hi indervir no I haven't started any new medications recently. And yes I'm glad my my various results came back clear but it's not helped my problem..only thing that has changed is when I received a call from my surgery telling me to stop my iron tablets Coz my iron levels have gone too high

Iron tablets can give you constipation, so you might feel better once you stop them.
