Hey guys. Ok so as you will all notice this year has flown over and we are not long off Christmas/New year. So my question is wher do you all shop for christmas dinner food and also party food/ any party food recipes to keep on track. I have spoke with friends regarding the food situation and all i get is ' don't diet at christmas its best time of year and easter' I am like ' no i wanna stay 2st 1lb lighter and more losses by new year'. What do you all do? Pig out and start again in new year? stick to goals?

Hi Icandothis2017-2018 ,

I tend to stick to my goals - regardless of seasonal occasions, but at Christmastime I do allow myself a few extra indulgences that I wouldn't have at other times of the year - but they are quite small - e.g. I tend to buy a luxury chocolate bar and eat the whole thing on Christmas night - but it's only a small bar, so it isn't as excessive as it sounds.

Even though I try to stick to my goals, I think I tend to gain about 3 pounds at Christmastime, but I find that it comes off very quickly - and I have maintained my 5 stone weight loss total for about 3 years now, so I feel that I am doing ok.

What do you think you'll be doing this year?

Regarding Christmas food and/or Party food - I tend to shop for lots of vegetables to go with chicken, which is what we are typically eating - so again, it's not really much different to other times of year in that respect.

I do go to a few Christmas meals nearer the time - so that's a challenge in terms of eating out, but I try to choose as well as I can.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing what other people say, and how they approach it.

Zest :-)

Hopefully it's not ruined - you've still got a couple of days till Wednesday - just put it behind you and maybe plan how you're going to tackle the rest of the week. Like you say in your profile - you're a person who never quits! You can do this. :-)
