I didn't really use a food plan. I made the decision to reduce to as low as possible refined sugars and processed foods from my diet.
I did this by doing things like buying a whole chicken, even although I stay on my own. I roasted the chicken, then I used it to make various different meals like chicken casserole, chicken curry, etc and froze these for later meals. I had roast chicken for dinner the night I cooked it. I used the carcass to make chicken soup, which I the froze portions of for lunches of if I felt hungry at other times.
I made sure I had a good breakfast, usually something like porridge that will keep me full most of the morning.
I also increased my water intact on a daily basis as well.
I lost 2.5 stone by doing this along with taking regular walks and gardening.
