It depends on the type of protein bar you choose to eat and when. Different protein bars have different amounts of protein and carbs..

I am not sure what you mean by the fat that always accompanies protein in nature. Do you mean animal fat ?

Having worked for a company that produces these type of bars the only thing I can say is this. These products were only produced originally for the daily gym addicts who depleted their resources daily and of course athletes. Now if you fall into either category they are good for energy but, if your not,

and eat them daily, you have fallen for the advertisers charms of a perfect life with any of their advertised items .
