Today I walked to a church set into the Dolomite mountains. I walk a lot with the occasional slope but this was a very steep walk with so many steps, just as you got to the end you turned a corner and it all started again! It was pretty hard work but Iโ€™m glad I did it. There were some lovely cats living at the top and some cat food up there so someone obviously goes all the way up there to feed them.

Here are a few photos I took and you can see just how high it was. There was also a little seat carved from a tree trunk.

Hi Ali, it sounds hard work but well worth it as itโ€™s a beautiful old church which has been there for centuries so what a story that could tell. And a stunning view from there, so the huffing and puffing was worth it.

It sounds like a fantastic holiday to me. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you Jerry itโ€™s called Santuario di Santa Augusta. Itโ€™s on tripadvisor and after I read the reviews of people saying itโ€™s exhausting, I didnโ€™t feel such a wimp for finding it well, exhausting! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜

Absolutely breathtaking! Thank you for sharing this lovely church with its zillion steps. Ali, l am so proud of you for making it to the top. And God bless the folks who feed the cats. Granni B

Thatโ€™s kind Granni B. Yes bless them and I blessed the cats while I was there and told them to keep safe. They were wild but they did seem well fed. It was a bit sad when I thought about how looked after and loved our cats are but Iโ€™m sure they were fine.๐Ÿ‘

Ali, you are a 'Kind Old Soul' to think of blessing the cats. I can only imagine your cats are as spoiled as mine. I have a large solid white male cat that was rescued from a corn field right before cutting. He was such a little handful of fur when my friend called... l could not say no. We also have two grey sister... they absolutely hate each other but love us & the dog. Have a Blessed Day... Granni B
