Thank you! I love how it's in chart form broken down into bullet points. It visually breaks down into chunks...which is what my panicked mind has not been able to do lately.

Thank you. I like the "I have the feeling of" rather than "I am" . Helps to keep from defining yourself as your emotion.

When I experience a strong emotion I am that emotion. So I do not understand the idea of getting unstuck from that emotion.

Remembering when you felt different is judging that emotion rather than noticing what it is in the here and now.

I have studied to develop the tools to pick up strong emotions at the point they are like an ant running around which is the point I can guide it to become something more safe. Rather than picking it up at the point it is like a steam train which is the point it does me damage.

“Cracked” ISBN: 9781848315563 a book written by James Davies Senior Lecturer Social Anthropology and Psychotherapy at The University of Roehampton (London UK) details some of the misleading and dishonest research results that have been presented in Professional Journals and conferences.

Emotions are presented in the body and envisaged in the mind. Change body muscular behaviour and the way the emotion manifests itself changes.

This has been known to yoga teachers, Alexander teachers, Buddhist monks, Zen teachers and a lot of people who work with the body. One of the tragedies is that many so called psychiatrists and psychologists have only ever considered the mind and totally ignored the muscular behaviour of the body.

Thank you for the Emotion Chart. I may print it out to remind myself when my emotions are trying to carry me away.

I printed this baby out. I should hang it on every mirror in the house!

I learned DBT in my Intensive Outpatient Program. Marsha Lineham's DBT Skills Training Manual is full of charts like this. Very helpful indeed! :)
