Christmas wishes from Headway and details of our helpline opening times

- A big thank you to all our members for your support in 2012.

Headway - the brain injury association would like to thank you for all your amazing support this year. Without your help we couldn't do the work we do, from producing specialist publications and establishing new local support groups to running our website and national helpline.

A special thank you to all of our HealthUnlocked community members who have made this a really lively, supportive and informative forum in such a short space of time.

- The helpline at Christmas

The Headway helpline will be closed from 5pm on Friday 21st December 2012, and will re-open at 9am on Wednesday 2nd January 2013.

During this time, you can email us or leave a message on our answerphone and we will respond when the service re-opens.

If you need medical advice please speak to your doctor, or call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 or NHS 24 in Scotland on 08454 24 24 24. For emergencies call 999.

If you need to speak to somebody urgently while the Headway helpline is closed, please call the Samaritans on 08457 90 90 90.

- HealthUnlocked at Christmas

Although our offices are closed, moderators from Headway and HealthUnlocked will be active on this community over the Christmas period to deal with abuse reports, and we will answer any questions as quickly as we can.
