Just wanted to know how everyone sleeps? I struggle through each night because of migraine or headache. Even when I do finally sleep the migraines wake me up, so I never quite get enough and face the day with relentless pounding. I listen to meditations, keep my room dark, but can’t fall asleep. Follow the usual sleep hygiene. So part of the problem is pounding daily headache/migraine. Has anyone found anything to help with this? I have tried acupuncture, physio, hydration, exercise, yoga, a healer!

A question about sleep
Hi Roesbud, there was a thread in a post on here a while back talking about a 'grounding sheet' some people think it's hocus pocus but others say it's works.
We are all different, so it's horses for courses, it might work or it might not.
You won't know unless you try.
I don't have an issue with getting to sleep, in fact the opposite, I have hypersomnia that makes me sleep or go into a trance 14-16 hours a day.
I did check up on the 'grounding sheet and there's definitely something in it.
At the end of the day it will either work for you or it won't.
Here's a video on the bed sheets.
Best thing may be to write a post to ask people if they have used one and is it any good.

Yes, I have wondered about that, it makes sense in a strange way, excess electricity drained away, just need to find out if it works on an extension cable as we have useless sockets in our very old house (just one!)
I take 2mg slow release melatonin - it's available by prescription only. Along with that I have magnesium and chamomile tea not long before bed and then do some gentle breathing.
The podcast I posted yesterday mentioned BCAA as having shown good results with sleep maintenance so I'm going to add that for a while and see if it helps.
Do you take any supplements like B2 or other B vitamins?
Hi Rosebud I don’t know if relevant or you might have addressed already, but HRT? I’m now on a low level HRT and it seems to have had a positive effect on my migraines. Maybe worth exploring, as there is evidence that it can help generally after brain injury. But as with everything, no guarantees…
Hope you get some relief somehow.
Take care
Tx
I've had insomnia all the six years since the TBI - no migraines now, but the smallest thing can leave me wide awake at night. I don't think I've had a regular sleep pattern since..
