Could I ask if anyone has had covid recently and it's knocked them for six? I never tested positive all over the lock down even though I was working. Had a bilateral subdural haematoma 2.5 years ago and feel totally wiped out with it. Thanks for listening.

yep have had it 3 times - after head injuries. Knocked me real bad the first time and not so bad the last two. But really bought all the symptoms back with a vengeance 😬 just had to rest and go back to monitoring energy out put for a few months to get back on track. All the best with it all 🤞

Hi Alfie, I had covid twice previously, and yes any illness does aggrevate your brain injury conditions, I also contracted the new strain a few weeks ago and that really floored me, I felt exhausted, my balance was really terrible and brain struggled to combine a sentence, that was apart from the covid symptoms of cough sore throat, short of breath, hope you’ve fully recovered now take care love Alice xx

Not me but have friends who have been flattened by it. Keep resting.

Hello Alfie, sorry to hear to hear you have Covid, I caught it last year for the first time and it wiped me out too, for some while. The 'just a cold' description didn't match up to my experience at all! I notice that any virus seems to take me longer to get over post MTBI though - but I think there definitely seems to be a neural effect from Covid. I lost my sense of smell and taste last year, but I think it's pretty much all back again now. One tip I read was to eat protein while you have Covid, even if you don't feel like it, because broadly your immune response wants amino acids to mount a fight back, and will break down muscle if necessary to do this if you aren't eating enough.

Hope you feel better soon.
