We had a deliberately low key Christmas this year, no big gifts, no family round, not even watching TV. We did go out at lunch time for an hour to socialise in quiet surroundings, but best of all was the little paperback book my wife bought me as a present she had found, called Coping With Brain Injury just the facts (ISBN 978 1472 1476 22) by Dr Nigel King who is a consultant neuropsychologist in Bucks and Oxford.
I dont know if this has been mentioned here before but I have to say it is a facinating little guide and he does strongly recommend Headway, so may be reading this😳
Anyway, as far as I have got with it (and it is a book that you can dip in and out of), I am so far impressed with everything from the technical explanations, about CBT, through to the coping strategies.
This stuff needs to be so much more in the mainstream for others to recognise the issues we face, but more so its a great little self help book that you can absorb at your own pace and hopefully gain from.
Has anyone else found it and I just wondered how you rated it?
Best to all for 2024 ❤️
