Hi Everyone! Hope you are all well , just wanted to share something with you all!
Over the last few months , I’ve been working with an occupational therapist , doing some blogs on my brain injury story/journey for his website!
There’s 3 blogs all together , Intro/Early Years , Independent Living & Independent Travelling , all the things I’ve done in my rehabilitation over the last 10-15 years to get me where I am today
By doing these blogs has really helped my confidence too open up about my brain injury & talking about it with others
Do you find writing about your injury, the effects and the rehabilitation helps rationalize what happened? Do you also find the writing process creates a new identity?
I’ve found it really helpful in what I’ve been able to achieve & made me understand why what happened at my birth that caused the injury & it’s helped me understand the condition a lot more & im not sure on new identity because the brain injury the reality of the life it’s all ive ever known , it’s boosted my confidence if anything
