rant alert!!no 1;bought sean a retro 1964 cup final shirt(w.ham obvs)cost a bit but he wanted it personalised.im thinking not a problem.3 birds 1 stone.logical for me to attend job centre,reed re start and use their free bus ticket to go on to durham and get the shirt done.quite straightforward right?mmm...durham city has every nationality catered for with stores,resturaunts,bars,i had not thought about the said footie shirt.i did not know that they only personalise when you buy from them?never occurred to me there would be a problem.so,i walk the ancient cobbles looking at trendy gin shops etc,then i figure out the old indoor market...of course.get there to a screen printing stall,it was closed.im asking next stalls etc for tel num etc,nada.standing there crestfallen and like a fool i look over.there is a butchers stall.there is a notice saying"sheep head available ask for details"?the rhetoric i will leave to you all?this morning i had a phone call from"sensory services",esk/wear valley.i have no idea/warning of such.she wanted to ask some questions regarding seans communication .i say he has a laminate "word board" and can write.i point out the difficulties with such regarding staff not keeping up with him.she mentioned would british sign language help?im saying surely there would be no point in this if the person he is talking to doesnt know b.s.l?i took about 10 mins of this b/s before i told her he only has the use of one hand and that her time was wasted and mine also.i can see the funny side of this,as im dealing with fools.with no response from a social worker i record and write all down.i can just about manage.its crazy,but i can do more than them i guess...

Maybe you could look online for local printing or ask sports shops for info. It's worth a go.

As for the sign language for someone wit the use of one arm is interesting.

I've one question.......When's the sit com com out.

I've had a similarly 'Round in circles' day D, so feeling pretty shattered & dispirited tonight ! Why is everything so difficult/complicated/disappointing these days...🙄

And ........'Dealing with fools' .....enough said ! (now why didn't you think of sign language missus ? the fact it would be a one handed version & no one else would understand it surely wouldn't be a problem) Agghhh.

I can only echo Pax's suggestion of looking online for the fabric printing ; such a shame your good intentions have hit a snag m'love.

I once carefully personalised my son's tee shirt with adhesive letters from a stationary shop ; they looked really good and served the purpose in the moment ....'til they came of in the wash. Hope you find a way D... Love.Xx
