guys im back!!firstly can i just thankyou all for your msgs, the support means the world, most of you have been on this rollercoaster with me for almost 2 years, this is the only place we can truly get understanding with those who really know how it is.i have spent most of last week forcing dog on long walks in all weather,he being not too impressed, twice running home when i headed towards local woods...rest of time on couch eating chocs/crisps(which socks was impressed with!)he has also, unfortunatley bypassed the nice doggie bed in favour of sleeping with his mam...i had the double dose of covid/flu jabs which i guess went some way to my feeling run down and also got some flu type effects.so i just did nothing all of last week.then of course the football started...socks hates any form of sport and goes crackers when he sees anyone running, you can imagine what happened england v iran game.next door have a recording of myself shouting "GOOAL"and socks barking.i think they have already got the popcorn for tonight!!sean of course has taken residence of the tv lounge it is quite remarkable for someone with limited speech to swear so clearly?they are very amused, not so his pal in there who is italian and wont go into lounge when sean is there.once again my freinds thankyou all and "Yakki da"!!!!

Hi lovely... so good to see you resurface, and with your humour still in tact. I've had all available Covid vaccines but won't have the flu one ; 5 years ago daughter & I had flu jabs at the same time and both were ill for weeks.

So Socks prefers his mum rather than his posh new doggy bed ----no brainer really ! I was so pleased to see Wales scrape through on Mon night with a nifty goal but sorry to see them out of the running tonight. Their 'Yma o Hyde' Welsh World Cup song is so emotive it brings tears to my eyes...

Keep resting as much as possible with the chocs & football and your constant furry friend ! Yaki-Da ! Take care, Cat Xx

Hi D, welcome back we’ve missed you, I too had my flu and covid jab and it floored me too, but unlike cat, I blame the covid it was Moderna, not had before, and having had a bad dose of flu years before I will not be missing my jabs as I don’t think I would survive a dose of real flu now without it. My son and daughter are both football supporters so I think we’ve watched every match, I must admit I will be relieved when it is over. However it’s nice to know Sean has retained his love of football, I must admit I did wish England out early doors to get some peace but don’t mind the occasional match. You take things easy and slowly good to have you back love Alice xx

Hi DBH,

Happy to see you back!

Well, I guess not all dogs are crazy about walkies - oh Socks! help your Mum get some exercise!

I have noticed the swearing thing is often clearer than other words with the bi brigade... I have heard they also get people to practise speaking with swear words if they stutter... not sure what that's about, but maybe something going on there... and hey , still count as well spoken words ... so good for Sean - got to start somewhere, as they say... though maybe they frown on it in the facility...

big hug to you!

Leaf x
