This picture is a Peony I drew for my mum using colour pencils.
it's gonna be her Mother's Day card for her next year!
I know that is early but I wanted to take my time on drawing the card to make it look good... Plus also I don't really have a great amount of time to spend drawing these days.
I think she will be pleased with it... NEXT YEAR... and it's also her favourite flower too :).

I'm running out of words Matt ; everything you produce is stunning, and what a portfolio you must have now. Great work once more, and so thoughtful. Much more meaningful than bought flowers or chocs ! 😏 Xx
It's true that the standard UK diet isn't healthy Matt, but the reduction of fat & sugar seems to be gaining more momentum year on year.
I stopped eating all red meat in the late 90s and won't have fatty foods, milk, or butter. Since my Bi 10 years ago, I cut out smoking, alcohol and reduced my sugar intake by around 60% (still can't resist the odd dark choc or slice of apple pie 🤫).
Yes, the reduction of fats and sugar gaining momentum in my eyes is wrong.
Lowering the sugar intake is a wise move but it’s a big no, no from me to lower fat levels… depending of course what kind of fat.
Saturated fats are necessary. This is food for your brain.
But don’t just take my word for it.
My mum has done a lot of research on this way of eating.
My mum’s diet or ‘way of eating’ (we don’t like the term ‘diet’. ‘Diet’ has a silent T :D).
My mum’s WAY OF EATING consists of a lot of fat, she’ll drink double cream right out of the pot!
I have a lot of fat too but not as much as my mum’s.
I have full fat natural yogurt in my smoothies and always add a teaspoon of coconut oil to my coffees.
Now, a Harvard study said coconut oil was basically poison.
If that was true, I would be dead by now :).
About 90%-95% of coconut oil is pure saturated fat.
Now, when you get top nutritionists saying that you should lower your fat intake then it makes me wonder where there information really comes from?
I would be willing to bet anybody that if they lowered their fat intake then they would likely start getting more health problems.
I know someone who is a nutritionist and vegan and when I mentioned about the high fats/low carbs ratio she disagreed with me and she also disagrees with the fasting and even added that it was dangerous.
Out of the vegans I know (which isn’t a massive amount) they are skinny/scrawny, can talk quickly and are flooded with tattoos… and being vegan is supposed to be healthy!
You’ve only got to think about families hundreds of years ago.
Fasting was all the rage.
The father would go out hunting for meat while the misses would stay at home tending to the garden, harvesting and preparing the veg for their nutritious meal.
