I had to send an update to PIP back in July as my medical condition has changed, yet I am still waiting for the outcome is this normal? I have never waited so long for a decision...thanks

Hi Loretta, I've never know for decisions to take this long. Did you get acknowledgement that they received your update? It might be worth just giving them a bell. 🍀

Yes I am still in receipt I have just found out this year they have received an influx of applications which makes sense why the long wait

PIP renewals are taking months and months to be completed. They are putting it down to the assessors having to isolate due to Covid. They are short of staff at the PIP offices, they are also short of staff. Hope you get it sorted soon.

Hi I would ring them. When I was applying for carers allowance it took months. I kept ringing them to get an update. I finally got a phone call to apologise for the delay. They had a computer update and I was 1 of about 2000 applications that had fallen off the system.

Thank you I have rung a few times now, the latest was a decision has not yet been made
