I have only posted a couple of times but keep up to date with all your posts. Such a great group.
I had subanachroid brain haemorrhage 6 years. Luckily vision and word finding, along with lack of filter and anxiety in certain situations sometimes! were my main problems.
I have just been diagnosed with autosomnal polycystic kidneys - genetic condition - and my consultant tells me this can be linked to my SAH. I can now have regular head scans to check for any other aneurysms that may appear etc etc etc.
Wondered if anyone else out there has had a similar diagnosis?
Thank you for taking time to read this.

Hi again Sue. All I know of PKD is that it's fairly rare in adults and can trigger bleeds on the brain. I've no idea what caused my SAH but, like you, my word recall and emotions can be hard work, along with mobility & vision.
I just nipped in to say hello really ! 😏
I hope someone comes along who identifies with your issues and with whom you can compare notes. And maybe you could phone the helpline for some extra support and information. (0808 800 2244 - freephone/office hours).
Aww lovely of you to reply Cat. Glad you nipped in!! Glad I have a diagnosis but bit of a shock too. Wouldnt wish this on anyone else but I could do with comparing notes, as you say. I think the helpline will be my next port of call.Hope you are coping and having a pleasant day Cat. Thank you sooo much.
