Hi Sammm2k, I do things like that but I find i just get stuff totally wrong then dwell about it after and feel really bad. I also struggle when speaking to more than one person due to not being able to follow more than one conversation it makes me feel quite stupid when I I’ve not been able to answer someone speaking. I had my appointment with the Sheffield brain injury scribt and they explained this is due to the frontal temporal lobe damage. Not sure on your injury but they explained things to me I didn’t know which after all that time 20 years was good. My next appointment is talking about mind fullness so I’m looking forward to it. I asked as I listen to a lot of it on utube.
Honestly Sam ; if you can laugh about your bloopers you're doing great ! We have less capacity for concentration after a BI and can often glaze over and miss important details. Mine was a frontal lobe injury so it's par for the course with me too. If I don't make notes before a phone conversation I easily get tied up in knots (incoming calls can be tricky !) 😬
Try not to dwell on slip-ups m'love ; anxiety only exacerbates the issue... x
Thanks Cat I try not to dwell but it's hard to switch off the replay switch & sometimes it just goes on & on I think it's more annoying for the people around me but humour is my coping mechanism (so I been told) my BI also caused left front lobe damage so could be worse.
