Hi all a bit of an existential question here! I was out of the world for 2 years and since my return have realised that everyone is totally false. Everyone pretends to be kind but it seems like its all a game as none of its genuine and people jseem to be afraid to speak their minds. Is this a brain injury thing? or just reality. I dont think im losing it but probably could if i continue down this rabbit hole. I also know im not alone, i do speak to real humans and quite a number share my view, even my barber! Just thought id put that out there!grateful for your thoughts...

Never trust a barber, they make money from taking something away.

But I do get where you are coming from. BI, ABI, TBI, does tend to tune you into people that aren't good for you, or chases them away.

But as it gives, it takes away. It takes part of your ability to judge, so you become cynical, you become hard to reach. We make light of this by saying, we are better off, we won't get hurt, the world outside our control is hostile.

The fact is we no longer fit into what we once found so comfortable, we can't quite put our finger on what is so different, but we know there is something. If only it was as simple as donning some special sun glasses, and finding the oracle.

I find it hard that people don't treat disabled people well, I can see it clearly as when l am wearing a broad brimmed hat and dark glasses indoors people don't want to talk to me. Now my social life is in parks and l don't trigger headaches( led/ bright lights do), with a hat and sunglasses and I feel happy that I can have social life without a migraine afterwards. But last week some people l had just met said goodbye to my companion, and ignored me l suppose as I looked odd so shaded .
