That sounds like Vertigo, I have a knackered vestibular systems so fairly common, I can trigger it by looking up and what not, or sitting up in bed, reaching up to change a light bulb, and public transport. Particularly if dark.

Yes I can get a dizzy spell when putting a bulb in or putting a curtain up but this sensation ,of being in a lift when it stops, only happens when tired

Yup that sounds about right, you have 3 balance systems so if 1 is damaged you can cope to a point but it’s much more difficult, i for example if tired do a zombie walk!

Have you ever got the feeling of falling off a cliff and then suddenly waking up. Something like that.

As a Parachute Regiment Veteran, vertigo is something i never suffered with,i did several jumps out of fat albert, plus two balloon jumps,a few of those jumps were with SAS,but i can fully understand those who suffer with vertigo,my wife being one, myself i felt safer jumping out of a plane then being on the ground.

I don't get the lift experience, but I do find if I get the strange tiredness you get with BI, that unexplainable, almost painful trying to stay awake, but knowing you are on a looser. The electric shock experience, I can't describe my experience like that, it is more like someone creeping up a shouting "BOO!" This is almost painful, as every muscle seems to tense. Another tell tale is an involuntary kicking out, again almost painful, because I can feel like a spring tensing up, before the kick. I don't have any answers as to what it is all about. Just one of those things.
