New year, new account, new haircut, new head.
Last new year I felt great, really healthy and happy and I get fitter and lost weight, then I moved house and something caused me to feel pretty rubbish and fatigued and put on lots of weight and stop exercising.
But then the new year came around again and the fatigue mostly went away and so I'm back on the getting fitter and healthier drive. My favourite hobby is going canoeing on the rivers and seas but between getting towards the end of my 30s and having 4th nerve palsy along with the head injury it means I've gone kindae short sited and the rivers and seas are quite fuzzy. You can't wear glasses when canoeing so I went to get fitted with contact lenses.
Oh my goodness, this is quite the effort. An hour long lesson which started with "are you able to touch your own eyeball with your finger" and ended with very red eyeballs caused such fatigue I had no choice but to go for a large plate of hallumi chips.
Two days later and I'm down to 10 minutes of poking myself in the eye to get them in and 10 minutes of rubbing myself on the eyeball to get them out. This does not make my head happy at all.
There's no moral to this story except that with a head injury it's often advised to learn new skills to keep your brain active but I advise against learning how to put in contact lenses if you can at all avoid it since it's nothing but a world of red eyes and eyeball eating amoebas.
Happy New Year
