Has anyone got any knowledge or experience about getting stressed after TBI?
Stress can prevent people completing a lot of simple tasks, but is stress more common after a brain injury? and can it be helped by medication? to help you complete tasks and rehabilitation?
any thoughts or information really appreciated.

Hi I have had really bad bouts of it, so stressed my head would shake, walk round and round in small circles in my kitchen talking to my self, my jaw would clamp up on one side of my face. Never took anything at all. Ended up developing a system of clearing out all the crap in my head by writing it down. Recently I managed to see a neuro psychologist and she said try meditating and guess what it worked, I've added two more processes that help also, I tightrope walk along an old railway line, I suppose that's focus, a meditative process and what I also found that helps is walking barefoot on the grass for at least 20mins, they say it earths your body, basically getting rid of static, it could be also that it is another process of focus, you need to look where your feet are going, so it's meditative and takes your mind away from the crap.
Anyway these have all helped me and I would recommend them wholeheartedly. A good diet also helps, no processed food.
Hope that helps
Oh another thing that's really good is having a good RANT on here because people know where you are coming from.
Stress is more common simply because you can’t complete tasks in time like you used too and this causes stress and also you want everything to happen straight away and it doesn’t so this gives stress. I do yoga, meditation and walks to help relieve this. If you have something that you enjoy and calms you down then take out a few mins a day to do it x
