I was halfway between awake and asleep then I heard a loud clap it sounded so real and so loud. But fallowing that loud clap was a surge of electricity that went thru my whole body . The surge of electricity felt so real as well . This isn't the first time something this has happen to me . I googled and I still have no answer . Has anyone ever had the same thing happen to them . Or does anyone know what this mite be?

Dreams that feel real . To real
Hi, have you had a head injury? I had these for about 3 months after a head injury, they started about 2 months after the accident. The first one was scary and I felt as though I had died and was floating outside my body in a pure black with grids of yellow squiggles and red dots that went on for infinity. I had a feeling of euphoria in my stomach and became very emotional as it felt like the most special experience I had ever had. These continued and the imagery became spectacular and fantastical.
I have come across research that suggest it is due to a cascade of chemicals, choline, seratonin and DMT amongst others that basically make you high and trip out. Apparently this happens when people die and gives a sense of something else. I also saw dead relatives smiling at me on many occasions.
I don't know about heaven and hell and the religious aspects of passing to the other side and people reporting that they see such things if they have died and been brought back etc.
It is a most spectacular experience though.
Recently I started my brain injury assessment, I have reported this to them in my first session. Oddly I was advised to start meditating to try and relieve stress and anxiety and one I had learned to breath and let everything go I started experiencing the very same kind of imagery. I was in an MRI scanner for just over an hour and meditated, wow, interstellar visions.
You may want to search lucid dreaming, DMT experience, enlightenment meditation also.
It can get pretty weird in a loony way depending on what you believe.
Personally I think it is brain chemistry and I also think the brain does sense energy via receptors especially in the pituitary gland, the so called third eye.
Hope that helps
Happy tripping
I've never had a head injury nor was I tripping. it could had been a lucid dream I've had lucid dreams before but none that vivid and realistic . They have been realistic but this was a whole different experience . Someone just replied saying they use to see lighting and feel it when they was asleep and they had a aneurysm. That has really worried ! I hope it's nothing like that! I know I'll be having trouble sleeping tonight
I had these after my crainiotamy n could see like lighting waves in my head it was only after first op n my anyeursms was massive, I thought it was some kind of seizure happening so went to lay down, but I was fine after x
I've never had Any type of head injury . Aneurysm ? So you think this could be me about to have a aneurysm!?!? O gosh! I mean I definitely didn't see lighting I just heard a loud clap and felt a surge of electricity thru my body . O man idk if I'll be able to sleep with that on my mind! I hope it's nothing as serious as that!
