When you havent picked up a crochet hook in months, and you start off stuggling to get to grips with a simple pattern with 1 colour then after several attempts you try alternative colours and remember why you found it easier and quicker to make

Yes brain get out of lazy mode you need to get back using and putting those neurons to good use and trust me i am starting you off easy wait until a few weeks then you can give me grief but give me that dopamine hit now and feel proud that your memory isnt as shot as you tell yourself

I think crochet and especially knitting verges on witch craft.

I couldn't get my head around it before my injury let alone now.
