Distrust of Doctors and how to overcome it.

Do people really trust their doctors? If you do, how did you come to trust them? One of the reasons I ask is I hear so many times please consult your doctor before you or ask your doctor about ...... Frankly I kind of turn off at that point as I don't really trust medical doctors and therefore consulting them on these things makes absolutely no sense to me, as whatever they would tell me I can't give any credibility to. I want to be able to trust them, however the last two times I did I ended up having two near death experiences, due to them giving me nitroglycerin tablets that made my blood pressure drop to the point where I passed out and flat lined. As a result of both those I sustained anoxic brain injury.

I have no criticisms for my English and French doctors. It is important to try and remember that each doctor is entitled to their own opinions based on their education and experience. Also helps to remember no human being is perfect. Cheers DT

I don’t trust doctors.

I used to trust doctors, but that is because mainstream media will make people think that you should trust your doctor as they no about the body and they know what medicines do what and so on.

However, I like to think that I am doing the smart thing but not going anywhere near my doctor now.

If I wanted to do some sort of gym program which my Headway could set me up with, I would have to get my doctor’s signature.

Why?

Why would I have to go out of my way just to get a signature so I could go play on the swings... so to speak :).

Bugger that, I may as well do some exercising at home.

A doctor in Gosport, where I live, has killed around 800 patients by giving them a morphine overdose.

Quite a few years ago now, I had pharyngitis and the doctor gave me antibiotics. The antib’s did help after a week or so and then I contracted thrush on my tongue!

My dad has been in a similar situation where he had a dicky tummy and the doctor gave him antib’s and the next thing you know he had something wrong with his ear... or was it the other way around? Doesn’t matter, the point is that modern meds may get rid of one ailment but bring on another. It is there way of making money. The pharmaceutical industry is not about making people better, it’s about making money.

The doctors are there to guide you into an endless pool of illness and money-making for them.

I’m glad to hear you have a trusting doctor Steve. I have heard of other people who have trusting doctors which is good in some ways, it is a shame that the others aren’t the same.

My nan has been gone for 3 years now and me and my mum believe it was the doctor/big pharma that was responsible.

if they try and palm me off with anyone else, my wife will say.......you have a choice, we either see him or my husband, who has a bi and doesnt like change, will lose it big time.........that works.
