Following emergency craniotomy for severe bleed on brain following accident ,the Dr's here say my son is fit to fly home via commercial carrier . It has only been 3 weeks . Is this too soon? Insurance medical team disagree and are only concerned with his ability to sit and stand , no mention of potential problems with the brain and intercranial pressure ? Does anyone have any experience of this or advice ?

Sorry but I think you may need more medically qualified people to answer your query.

Hope all goes well

Thank you moo196, was a long shot I know but feel so helpless out here, communication with Dr's here so difficult & insurance medical team so hard to get hold of back in uk .

Can your GP in UK give advice ?

My medical advice was that flying was no problem after my cvst in Oct 14 ( within weeks - though I didn't for several months) .

Have since done extensive travel including Vietnam !

But my experience is not medical advice ....
