Back in Hospital

Hello

How are you all? Hope you all are ok.

Doing this post from my hospital bed.

Was rushed back to the same hospital I was discharged from 6 weeks ago today, yesterday evening after I collapsed and suffered a seizure at my family friends house.

She saved my life by grabbing me with both her hands under both my shoulders as I fell and putting me in the recovery position after I had the seizure had finished before calling 999 for an ambulance. Whilst waiting for the ambulance she kept monitoring me whilst in the recovery position to make sure I still breathing and had a pulse. I have already thank her by giving her a big hug today, when came to see me.

I came round in the ambulance on my way to hospital, which scared the hell out me because I could not understand what had happened to me until the female paramedic and my family friend explained what had happened.

My neurologist has said after I had another CT Scan this morning that the seizure is down to the brain injuries I suffered and he wants to keep me in hospital for further monitoring to see how often I have a seizure and what medication is best to control the seizures.

I already have other problems due to my brain injuries I suffered and this is all I need another problem on top as well!

Will keep you all updated.

Ben

Hi Ben

Am pleased to hear that the swift actions of your friend both dealt with the immediate situation of your epileptic fit and then got you to hospital for further investigation. Hopefully the Drs will get you on the right medication for you and get the fits under control. It must feel like a massive set back and impact on your life to now have to live with the reality of being epileptic. Best wishes

Hello StrawberryCream

Thankyou for the best wishes.

I had another seizure this morning after breakfast and after this seizure my neurologist confirmed it is epilepsy brought on by my brain injuries I suffered in September last year. He has yet to start me on medication for the epilepsy.

Will keep you updated.

Hello Dawny

Thank you

Feeling a bit more better now because of the medication I have been put on for the seizures and my neurologist has said this morning that if everything goes alright I should be discharged from hospital a week today.
