Just wanted to share some happy news. After just over 11 months, my partner is finally home :-) . He is happy to be out of hospital, but now waiting to find out when physio starts. :-)

you may find your partner isnt the same as he used to be. be ready for mood swings, inappropriate behaviour, noise intollerance.

monitor his behaviour, making notes of any changes...........im not the same person since my bi and am on medication to control my behaviour.

what side of his brain was damaged?

So far he seems settled, but definitely more affectionate and it was his right frontal lobe damage.

Great news Sue. Sadly the wheels of aftercare seem to turn really slowly but, all the same, your man has reached a significant milestone. Hope the wait for rehab won't be too long m'dear. Cat xx
