So if anyone doesnt know I visited the neroscience festival at will memorial building I was there from 10am - 4pm.
It started of with a speech on Dementia and how neurons die (very interesting) then we got to walk around the exhibition and the first people I spot (are no not Headway I saw them later) but were CRIC (bristol.ac.uk/cricbristol/) and I mentioned that I went for a MRI as part of a research project (KHINES) and now I am now coming off pregablin and the lady that I was speaking to knew how hard is/will be for me so it was nice to have a chin wag about that, then the stall next to her I saw some information on the Dower House (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_D... and saw a brain hat (will post a pic later once my phone charges), I saw various pictures of animal brains, I saw people knitting neurons, I saw people from HITU and some of the tests that now run and mentioned I was getting flash backs and educated them on some of the test I did as part of KHINES that they were gonna go and research, learn alot about Dementia, Parkinson and Multiple Sclerosis, said I would be interested in donating my brain to the brain bank (if they were intrested) at Southmead when I die and they told me they do walk rounds (I dont know how true that is) (bristol.ac.uk/translational... loited around the headway stall, gave lots of people my email address as I said I would be up for research as I would like to know how my frontal lobes are functioning and told my story, my achievements and that I have a publications to sooooooo many people Im surprised I stilll have a voice.
In general a very good day and informative day out
