So if anyone doesnt know I visited the neroscience festival at will memorial building I was there from 10am - 4pm.

It started of with a speech on Dementia and how neurons die (very interesting) then we got to walk around the exhibition and the first people I spot (are no not Headway I saw them later) but were CRIC (bristol.ac.uk/cricbristol/) and I mentioned that I went for a MRI as part of a research project (KHINES) and now I am now coming off pregablin and the lady that I was speaking to knew how hard is/will be for me so it was nice to have a chin wag about that, then the stall next to her I saw some information on the Dower House (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_D... and saw a brain hat (will post a pic later once my phone charges), I saw various pictures of animal brains, I saw people knitting neurons, I saw people from HITU and some of the tests that now run and mentioned I was getting flash backs and educated them on some of the test I did as part of KHINES that they were gonna go and research, learn alot about Dementia, Parkinson and Multiple Sclerosis, said I would be interested in donating my brain to the brain bank (if they were intrested) at Southmead when I die and they told me they do walk rounds (I dont know how true that is) (bristol.ac.uk/translational... loited around the headway stall, gave lots of people my email address as I said I would be up for research as I would like to know how my frontal lobes are functioning and told my story, my achievements and that I have a publications to sooooooo many people Im surprised I stilll have a voice.

In general a very good day and informative day out

Please don't be envious when I was 13 it as hell look up kids head injury encrodine study peta sharples/Helen miller press.endocrine.org/doi/abs...

It's the study of if puberty and hormones are impacted on if you have a head injury I started my period in the self enduced coma in Feb 2001 3 months in to being 13 the only good thing I got was my MRI at my 10 years review where I told them my job title was newly appointed civil servant in IT I couldn't understand the excitement that Helen who was presented at the MRI scan showed now without their help I do understand and I'm intrigued how my poor servere left frontal lobe is functioning this week alone due to work has tested it mixed with the reduction of pregablin I had a nice convo with cric who did the scan how much sleep I've been needing and how after work I come home and crash out for 11 hours until my alarm goes off to go back into work the next day

Oh I wasn't envious of your participation in the study but attending the event. I had a look at the link and decided I'm going to the pub instead of reading the abstract, it's a better way to make your head hurt!
