Has anyone here had a reoccurring Tbi? Or is it just the once? I’m asking as I’ve had encephalitis 4 times now and I wanted to talk to someone with the same sort of thing?

Though any contact is lovely xx

I've had two hemorrhages, although most of my symptoms remained the same and to the total confusion of the Neuropsychologists one disappeared, apparently not possible!!!

I must be mistaken(?), so I'm not sure I can really give any useful information.

Feeling, you were spot on, post 1st hemorrhage I was incapable of feeling any emotions, I'm certain I would have been labelled Autistic, if not for the TBI.

Great(?), I then realised my long term very dull sadness was in fact depression, although the depression may have been caused by number 2, it's impossible to know. Although my daughter made me incredibly happy, which was a big bonus.

I can’t get my head round my condition at the moment, I’ve got a mutated gene which causes my brain to swell and my last episode was when I was 17 and now I’m 32 and petrified as it wasn’t supposed to happen again! 😥 xx

Im sorry to hear that Lisamarie. Must be hard. Did the consultant tell you why it happened again and what they can do about it? I dont really know much about encephalitis

I’ve got a mutated gene which is why it keeps happening. They are testing to hopefully cure me but goodness knows if they can. It may not happen but it might which is what I’m finding hard to deal with I want to move on x

Hi Lisamarie. I suffer from recurrent Hydrocephalus due to the position of my Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). I have a VP Shunt but have needed 4 revisions over the years when it became blocked and I started to get severe headaches and vomiting again. It really depends what the TBI is as to whether it can reoccur. x
