Headway also do travel insurance and it might be worth comparing the prices

Your docs are the only ones who can say for sure if it is okay for you to fly and once you have medical clearance, the insurance company you choose will depend on where you are going and the type of cover you require. Check out at least half a dozen before making your decision and be certain to declare all your medical issues

Mine wasn't surgery, but a rare formula of stroke. I still have a blood clot in situ, but travel as much as I can.

Boots covered my first few trips, now I have insurance through more than.

Happy travels!!

I too had a subarranoid haemorrhage in January this year, and before discharge from hospital my consultant told me I would be safe to fly. Xx

Don’t worry you will have no problem as long as you don’t apply for travel insurance until at least 12 months has elapsed. They usually ask if any treatment in last 12 months and if your heamorage was clipped or coiled it is not an existing condition. Even if like me having had a haemorrhage and later three more aneurysms two of which were clipped and the third remains and us monitored every year by mri I do not have any problem with insurance and I am over 70 into the bargain . I would say go online to the comparison sites and look at the questions asked and just answer but do not volunteer any further information and you will have no problem I go to USA every year without problem good luck
