My husband died after an illness. The death certificate states reason for death was hypoxia. Was this a painful death?

From everything I've read, people who've been rescued or resuscitated after absorbing a noxious gas have reported an absence of all physical sensation whilst experiencing varying degrees of euphoria.

In fact opponents of capital punishment in the US have campaigned for, at least, the more humane option of a Hypoxic alternative. Even the ex politician Michael Portillo has campaigned for its use as an alternative worldwide.

Hope this helps Kathya. My sincere condolences on the death of your husband.

Kind regards, Cat.

I felt very warm, wanted to take my clothes off when I came round although they were telling me I didn't feel hot. I couldn't understand why they were rolling me around on the floor. When I was unconscious I was having a very real walking into a hot sun and men walking into me, they were tall and all had V necked jumpers..There was no pain or sensation.
