It depends what you are going for! My husband had one this week, he asked how things were, any problems, did he need a change of medication, etc. Make a list before you go of anything you would particularly like to ask him.

I see mine every twelve months (saw him 2 weeks ago) for annual checks and to monitor the dizziness/balance issue.

But for claim purposes you need to emphasise your symptoms more than usual, as insurance companies can be pretty dismissive of symptoms which aren't 'black & white'.

So don't feel bad about an exaggeration here and there ; if we genuinely score an 8 they'll automatically see it as a 5 or less. So if you have all your limbs and can walk and talk you need all the back-up you can get.

Oh and the neuro-consultants I've met have all been particularly supportive and engaging. Good luck Pat. x

How do you feel it went Pat. I know they're meant to be impartial , but did you feel the guy was keeping your interests in mind ? x

That’s a tricky one cat3 , I feel it went ok. But if I walked into any doctor I could easily pass for a None bi person! As I don’t have slurred speech I walk fine etc , does that make sense!!!

It sure does ! That's why we need to exaggerate-to-compensate for our 'normal' appearance. I really hope you've managed to get your message through Pat...........fingers crossed & let us know the result won't you ? x
