Feel completely rubbish, not depressed or low but completely useless and fed up with all the negative news. Think I'll turn my TV off as I am getting brain overload

Tangled up in blue
Yes, lots of negative and scary news which is worrying..... but look at all the positive things, all that has happened has brought out the best in people, all types of people stopping to help those in need, bringing them food and clothing, helping the sick. Sometimes the bad things are so awful that we forget to look at the good things too. Although with the rubbish on tv these days, turning it off is probably a good idea!
Yes but nothing can stop that depressing feeling! All together I am okay now and can pretty much deal with the feelings. Just sometimes I can feel like I am slipping back into a pit of despair, luckily I can stop myself getting too sad.
Great idea to turn your TV off. The world has seen brutal and insane activity for centuries, but you never knew about it unless it occurred locally. Good example; North Korea's people know nothing about terrorism or Asian battles.
Yes I know, TV is a bloody nuisance- always better and more creative etc without the thing!
Hi Aqua,
I agree, turn your TV off, it only feeds you with rubbish anyway. I have a TV but rarely use it :). Don't even think about all the "news" that is going on, just think about what is going on around you :). The best way to live is how I see it.
aqua79 at times like that just put on a gentle piece of music , eyes closed, clear your brain and think of nothing
I do that with facebook
I can't stand facebook! I'd rather draw a picture, or attempt to!!!
I like your title is a Bob Dylan song and I really like music too. It helps me and I remember when I was feeling alone and struggling to cope. I played help by Beatles. Drawing is good and I like the colouring books
I love the Dylan song- helped a lot in a dark time. Many more songs have and music has been wonderful therapy for me. I used to do the colouring books when I had time but now I am doing a computer course (boring) and upholstery restoration which I love
I often have to escape TV . Doing so helps me!
