So my left side has increased tone, which makes it hard to move and coordinate. My arm feels heavy. I can use it, but it is such an effort. I am doing lots of varied movements/activities.
It feels as if I've been given a robot arm which hasn't been switched on.
I am just wondering if this heaviness goes away?

If physio helped, I would ask to be referred back, and perhaps a neurophysio. Have you seen a neurologist and given a diagnosis? I suffered TBI 5 1/2 years ago. I suffer with left sided, weakness, nerve pain, spascitity and yes, my left side is 'heavier'. My physio in the community was rubbish, and in hindsight I would have persisted for more physio. It is the chicken or the egg, if you do too much you bust and boome, and I can end up in bed for a few days, or if you sit around your muscles become stiffer and weaker. I wish I had been advised of pacing , and which exercises to help improve the tone and improve weakness etc on the bad side. I have started yoga, which has helped, but sometimes it worsens my physical symptoms. I find it hard to manage my exercise /daily life. I am finding it particularly hard ar the moment with the dark mornings , cold and motivation to get out and do things, but then I have had flu over Xmas.
