Absolutely, I couldn't use a phone or tv remote when I first came out of my coma. I had to have instructions written down cos I couldn't remember.

My husband tortures me (not really but you know what I mean!) by buying new gadgets and saying this is great, look at what it can do!! Only if it behaves when you try to use it!

Guess what he's bought me for xma? An I phone, something else to cause frustration and anger!!

Sorry I'm not really ungrateful but he still doesn't get how the frustration angers me. I'll persevere and get there in the end and so will you don't give up trying.

Best wishes

Janet x

Yep, despite having several degrees and fellowships in technology, still get confused by remote control and had to relearn the colour codes for wiring a plug :-(

I've retained my ability to use tech, I spent quite a lot of my time once home from hospital on sofa playing stuff on iPad-appleTV.

But i've lost my ability to cope with things like on line banking, luckily I have a wife!

Some of that is was very techy before so it's old knowledge/skills I'm far better at stuff I already know vs new things.

Yes, many times I just have to stop and come back to it the next day and try again.

Paul, please look at the things you Can do, rather than the things you can't. You may be surprised at how many tasks you can manage. For those annoying things you can't, enlist help or find another way ( sometimes writing instructions down to refer to helps if complicated ) I get my son to show me stuff on computer then I write down instructions in a way I can understand. x

People will be sick of me posting this but try the diet advised by Tina M Sullivan, Nourish Your Noggin. She follows Dr Diane's work (drdiane.com) The diet includes dark chocolate! It might help you. There are recipes for cookies. Some of the are really nice.
