Hi all. It's just over 3 years since my accident and all the bits that unfortunately went with that.

I had a severe TBI and this is the first time I have been able to get my head around to doing this. Have tried the local Headway group a few times, but felt a bit lost.

Still a bit lost!

Paul.

Hi Paul,

Welcome to our merry band :) hope you soon feel at home. Lots of friendly people here who'll answer questions, offer support and share experinec. Don't know what I'd have done this year without the kindness and community of the folks here. Look forward to reading your posts :)

OK Paul, consider yourself found. I joined the forum almost 4 years ago and it's where I come now if I want to feel truly at home.

I had a brain haemorrhage in Dec 2011 and, as you'll know, a brain injury is life changing. The thing about feeling lost is very pertinent for me tonight as I've just returned home from a family party after only two hours because I couldn't cope with the noise/heat/shouting to be heard/too many people etc..............

So I'm feeling disappointed in myself for being unable to fit in when everyone was being so lovely to me ; and these are all people who I get on with so well in small numbers.

So the first place I've come to for solace is Headway. I hope it'll become a safe and welcoming place for you too Paul.

When you're ready, tell us some more about yourself, your accident and how you've been coping over the past three years.

Best wishes, Cat x
