ss wellbeing team ?

hi all we have the ss wellbeing team coming out tomz but I don't know what they do ? has anyone had them at all x

Hi Rose. When my brother was seriously ill with leukaemia and having mobility problems, my sister-in-law was amazed when a Social Service team arrived one day and installed an extra hand rail for the stairs and a hand rail in the shower.

It was all free and arranged by the hospital where he was treated. They will basically look at ways of safeguarding your husband's welfare and improving his quality of life within the home. x

Sorry, don't have experience of this team, but hope you can pick their brains about all sorts of help and assistance they may be able to give/point you in the right direction.

Write a list of things that concern you perhaps?

It's low level care and support. If you go into your local county council webpage you should find a lot of info about them. They should also be able to signpost you to other services.

Hi well they have been and I must say the lady was great , she did some phoning about got in touch with other relevant people to come and see scott asked if we have claimed what we are intitled to like pip and esa and possible carer's allowance depending out come of pip just need to get scott back to do tors to have his ear looked at has his hearing not got in his ear

well today not a good day for scott he has headache dizziness and keeps saying when he touches his right side of his head and knee it is tingling ? on the plus side his speech is coming along now

hi irishrose got back from dublin saturday. anywaz as cat said hand rail on shower or a lift in and out of the bath higher the toilet seat at nil cost to you
