BI team been absent again, I telephoned last week and told husbands clinical psychologist been isolating his diary was in muddle as home visit planned 8th june and nothing no communication it would not happen.

But past few weeks husband cant shift headaches, belief I'm making sure hes drinking/eating well, hes always had left pins needles on left side , but last mini stroke mid January 2021, No mini strokes for 5months but constant headaches, pins needles becoming daily so do I contact BI Team or contact GP monday morning. I've noticed he wobbles getting up and his walk looks different .

When I called GP recently on another topic as husband has damaged throat from tubes so meds to ease discomfort which impacted on fatigue more. I stated our absent BI team been really absent, they stated BI Service doesn't fall under there umbrella. But with more monitoring gathered to be sure who do I report too BI Team or GP 🤷‍♀️

Hello NB, I'd try both too, but as it's the weekend, perhaps 111 would be better tonight/ tomorrow, because they can get him seen at home or in hospital? x

Hi, I would call both, any changes need to be investigated, the brain injury to team should have an on-call out of hours, but if you cannot talk to them 111.

Wishing both of you well. x

Yes I'm calling both tomorrow been few weeks but it's been every day coming onto 4th week now but with his awareness hes not telling me straight aw not, he forgets, until I ask, but with me asking hes getting a suspicious I've just reassured him I need to know for when he goes to appointment for hormonal therapy, so I can keep record.

I only have BI Teams number, I speak to secretary which I know in a week will have response by phone or letter, or theres the answer phone which nobody has ever called back even early months when in crisis.

Called GP recently I was number 31 in queue took 40mins to get through I phoned dead on 8:30am when open, random GP called she was nice but wouldn't answer anything with BI and me to call BI Team. I called BI team and told husbands team been in self isolation and the clinical psychologist diary in a muddle. I will call for his actual GP Tomorrow usually few days for appointment.

I dont know about your health team, but my locality poop. And I feel once I get through to anyone, they will go back to Southmead which takes another 2wks for any response what to do, just the theme weve experienced.

My GP service appears to be fairly responsive, but I don't generally have a lot of direct input. Currently I have got a couple of red flags physically, but I did have to make my rambling point.

I hope you do get through to a human 🍀

I dont know what Brain Injury Team suppose to look like; part of me feels have they given up; with December lockdown until March, visits did occur April and May once a month. Then booked for 8th June, told be weekly home visits with review until September for OT review and that piece be 6 weeks with review . Appointment booked for 24th August, and already I just got a feeling with Autumn/winter OT review not going to happen, I have spring 2022 in head. The sensations are near enough the same so I'm not panicking as not got worse.

I just feel frustrated now I know many others are in worst situations with covid impacting on here, but surely something has to give now with services.

Thank you, I'm entering frustration, resent mode past week again, thought I was controlling it, think it's going to be rollercoaster ride x
