No. We sure don't!!! 😉
Drama, trauma, despair one moment. The next love, friendship and happiness.
Loving kindness is the way to go costs us nothing yet the rewards are limitless.
I like your attitude lloydyuk! Sometimes its so easy to look at the bleak side of things. But we are all extremely lucky to be here and I am a great believer that positive thinking keeps us well.
That's so true too. I don't see negativity even a viable option...it has to exist for positivity to make sense however it doesn't deserve our time or energy. It's a choice positivity and it's benefits or feel bad.....no brainer. We are what we accept its all down to us as individuals.
Completely agree! Someone once said to me that you can't change anything by worrying about it, it just makes things worse for you. I completely understand that for some people a BI can feel its taking over their life. But I really do think there's a lot to gain by realising things could always be worse.
There's a bright side to everything the trick is finding it.
I also realised a long time ago things happen and people do what they do whether we like it or not.
It's not our fault or responsibility for any of it.
At best we might influence but change has to come from within...just like happiness. Nobody or anything can make you happy it's up to you as an individual. Never settle seek true happiness
Yes you are completely right. Its all too easy to concentrate on the negatives in life. But if really does pay to look on the bright side and be thankful for what you have. I'm not saying it is that easy all the time. But most of us have enough good things in our lives to more than compensate for the bad. And I too am a believer in 'everything happens for a reason'. Even if you can't see it at first. The thing is that life goes on and you have to make the best of what it throws at you. If you don't value yourself then you can't expect others to can you?
Even when we do know what's coming we don't know how it will pan out, a bit like being given all the ingredients and getting them all mixed for the cake but not having our own oven to cook it in. Will it rise or will it be a flop? Does it really matter, since it is cake and tastes good anyway ?! 😀
(PS I have been writing tomorrow's sermon this morning and your words are echoing so much of what I said....but I doubt you would have guessed!)
Not sure if I used this before but a good friend gave me a great anecdote on life and living.
You can have someone fully explain how good chocolate tastes, how it smells, how it feels in your mouth however
Until you actually eat some it makes no sense. It's all about the experience.
A lot of life is like that, isn't it? Parenthood, retirement, getting that first job, getting a brain injury........
