Thank you all for your thoughts and concern. I am taking a break from the forum for a while because I didn't find the silly chat room posting tolerable that particularly a couple of people were doing. This site has been a brilliant place for BI support, understanding, ideas, acievements and successes etc and for me that has been its incredibly important purpose. I am not a miserable person who only wants posts to be 'doom and gloom' but the journey from BI is a difficult one and those feelings should not be blocked by a those wanting everything to be upbeat and positive. Although I hasten recall their posts were not so positive at times either. We all have our good and bad times and should be accepted for how we are at any given time and not made to feel that we are wrong from expressing any down times and feel got at just because someone's own life is in a really good place and they think we should be equally joyous because they want a forum full of fun and humour. I have dysexecutive/frontal brain syndrome and I am as part of those BI problems less able to manage disharmony etc. So as I was realising the negative effect the site was having on my wellbeing I have chosen to not participate. Please be reassured though that this decision is a consequence of a minority which is a very sad decision to have had to make as the majority of you are lovely, caring, supportive, understanding friends. xx
I am hoping the new topic selection format might make things easier for you to navigate the posts . You are quite right that BI and its consequences encompass all kinds of emotions and we need to respect each others feelings. Hope you are managing the holidays with your son, maybe getting some swimming in : ) Hope your new role in Headway, Medway is going well too.
