Awesome pic Matt,
Love it because it's totally true we don't know what the next person we see has gone through in their life, what is going through their mind or the troubles and worries they have, even when they are family,
Siobhan
My family think they know me. They haven't got a clue.
I think really, nobody has a clue how most preople are really but when it comes to us BI members, we are like totally different race haha. Well, not completely and I think it also depends more on how damage one has and location of the brain and so on. My family know quite a bit about my difficulties, my Mum knows the most about me I think. She knows that I find it exhausting doing a round of walking outside. If somebody wanted me to walk to the shops with them, which was only 5 mins away, my Mum might say that it is 5 mins for them and 10 mins for me and I would be worn out when I get to the shops and I don't quite like it when she speaks on my behalf. I know and she knows I get tired from walking but if I wanted to walk 10 mins and wear myself out, then I choose to :). I can always stop and rest half way if fatigue catches up. I don't actually have to sit down either, I can stand and rest, as long as my legs are not moving I'm fine :).
Totally agree, unfortunately a lot of people do judge and their conclusions are so wrong.
Very true
Yes I have even had professionals making incorrect judgements of me rather than hearing the true facts!
It just shows that even professionals can be oh so wrong.
Exactly yet they think they got it right and we are barmily wrong!!!
I remember before I had an op once, the surgeon said to me that I wasgoing to wake up with a chest infection. I was saying "What if I don't " and she was adamant that I would. So I told my family of this, my brother told me to consume a lot of vitamin C before the op. So I did and when I awoke, I had no chest infection :).
Haha, in your face!
So true Matt !
