Apologies if anyone finds it offensive. it's lucky really he doesn't say "Merry Christmas ya mother******, cos that would be even more offensive in my book.
another persons joke is another persons insult or offence, as for me i was not offended but surprised, but there you go you cannot win them all, hope you had a merry christmas pal and everyone else.
Not everyone will share your humour or point of view and that's their entitlement. I don't think we should judge those whose attitudes conflict occasionally with our own ; the happiest outcomes are usually reached by mutual respect and compromise.
I know not everybody has the same humour or POV as me but I wasn't really expecting a load of disgusted replies to something that, to me, is not really offensive but saying that, that is my view of it. It is not the end of the world and really I think a mountain has been made out of a molehill. There is also the fact of BI to consider and not everyone has the same BI which also means people will handle and see things in different ways.
Like I said before, I was feeling cheery, I was not drunk, I suddenly thought of that quote and my T-shirt and decided to quote it on here. Now, if I had posted that on Facebook, some people might laugh and say "merry christmas' back and those that had no idea what the quote was would say nothing and if they did comment they would say "That was a bit harsh" and I could then tell them that it was not supposed to be offensive but a quote from a film but like I say, people handle things in different ways.
I just hope that is the end of it now really cos I am getting a bit fed up over something that really is quite ridiculous.
