Apologies if I made anybody throw up in their mouths.
I just wanted to post a picture of me without the wig and to show others some of the results my BI has left me. I have a slight right sided paralisys, more noticeable in my face. I can no longer wink on the right. My right eye has turned inwards and is stuck like it since '96. I cannot naturally press my lips together. My smile on the right side is weaker. The taste on the right side was numb but is improving, which is good. My teeth on the right are a little weaker. I cannot salivate as well on the right side so for years I had been chewing my food on the left side. Now I might start chewing on the left and swap to the right... Is there anything else? Oh yeah I cannot do a Deirdre Barlow impression very well now. I used to be able to tense my neck and the veins would pop out on both sides, now the right vein is weaker :).
Anyway, I know how people sometimes don't like to take pictures of themselves but for me, I really don't like it. I'll have my photo taken if I am out with friends but don't let me look at myself :). I also use the social network known as Facebook. I have posted pictures of myself on there but usually doing something goofy but I would never post this kind of picture of myself on there. I will on here because I know that people would understand the weirdness of my face but on Facebook, it is full of ignorant idiots and half of them are so called "friends". I don't use Facebook a great deal and only have around 60 friends on there. I say 'only' but that is quite a few. Most of them don't talk to me. If I could, I would change the name of the 'friends' list to the 'acquaintences ' list. There are people with thousands of friends! Why do you need/want thousands for? They can't be talking to all of them. So because there isn't much chatting on there, that is why I do not see Facebook as a social network. This site is a social network, I see chatting all the time but how can throwing a sheep at your next door neighbour be classed as social?o

I used to watch F1, before Eric Boullier. I did not even know who he was. I looked at a picture of him on the Internet. Eric Boullier looks more symmetrical than I do :).
There is somebody in the picture, you know haha. Or can you not view the picture? Or do you not agree that I look like Eric? I have also got to admit, that is the first time somebody said I looked like Eic Boullier though, the unsymmetrical version :).
Lots of people like to take pictures of themselves (selfies) and post the picture on Facebook and I think "What's the point?". I however, do not do that sort of thing mainly because I think it is not needed and also because I might frighten people haha. But on here I don't mind too much if people see one picture of my face and what my BI has done.
I really don't mind people puttin in their pics after they have suffered a TBI, or ABI. I think that people must first and foremost not be embarrassed by themselves. That way, a more positive outcome can be expected!
Nice to see you without the crazy wig I thought i better wait before calling it a crazy wig because I could have made a serious error in judgement and it be your real hair
I can't do deidre Barlow impressions either abymore straining my neck would either cause me to have a seizure or a Dystonia attack neither much fun
I'm a chronic liar and was lying about the wig, that is/was my actual hair, I just had a haircut a few days ago, goodbye Afro. I'm glad really cos people kept saying to me "Calm down, calm down" in a high, Liverpudlian accent :). Crazy wig! How dare you! That was my beautiful locks.
Don't tell me you actually fell for that haha.
I like to goof around when online, I probably would offline, and I try to sometimes, but, well... It's just different. I probably think more about being goofy online. It makes life more fun :).
Hi Matt. I don't know how or why I ended up here after clicking on my profile to do an update ? But I read through this 5 year old thread and noticed I'd had a tech issue at the time and couldn't access the photo you'd posted.
Well it seems now that I can see the photo (better late than never maybe) and I feel the need to say that what I'm seeing is a perfectly attractive face with, yes, a glide and slightly asymmetrical mouth, but still a lovely face to match a lovely personality,
It all started when I popped out, my mother was tiny and I wasn't so my ear got ripped on the way out and has always stuck out whilst the other is flat ! One eye is bigger than the other (injury) My right shoulder is around 3 inches lower than the left and my righ arm is around 7 inches longer than left.
The are some other things but the moderators wouldn't allow me to describe them
Given the choice between the "manufactured" features that some people have or real people with things that make them interesting and full of character for me there is no contest.
