we use a computer diary for mu husband. he now puts things in, everything from phoning someone to the major family events. means I have stopped having to remind / nag him about things & mostly it means he remembers to do things as he has an ipad which is always with him. occasional misses but we all accept those, including hubby.

I'm all for whatever works for the person concerned & reduces the amount of reminding which drives everyone nuts!!

Looked great...and then I read the part about the tile will run for a year and then needs to be updated with the latest model - I like my strategies to need nothing more than a battery every now and then ...but the real clincher was that it can only be used with an i phone.... I don't have one and expense issues aside, I definitely cannot cope with the learning curve required to acquire and successfully use one

Nice idea for those who have an i-phone and can pay a fee for upgraded tiles every year. I think Jake might object to a piercing and a new piece of tile body art so probably best kept to easily mislaid gadgets like keys, specs and phones

Of course those of us without iphones can get a low tech key locator fob...guessing there's no reason why they can't be used with other items as long as they can be attached securely.

iforget - wish I hadn't been impulsive and just ordered a set of tiles without reading the small print! There goes impulsive Brian again! I wouldn't have ordered them if I'd read the bit about upgrades! And what a great idea of your to get a bunch of key locators! Doh! Silly Brian! x

calamityjane I guess the annual upgrade may not be too bad if the tiles are reasonably priced in the first place...I did not get that far as that area of the site as I am sans iphone anyway.

I have realised that I do need to upgrade from my ancient flip phone (comes with really impressive VGA camera lol) I am on PAYG and do not want a contract phone but have been struggling to locate a smart phone that doesn't make me feel really stupid

After much research finally decided and went to P4U to see it in person only to be told it was discontinued...Grrr!

I want something that will make my life easier but every upgrade is a steep and stressful learning curve... so my flip phone lives to fight another app-less day At least nobody will ever steal it LOL

Be interested to hear how you get on with the tiles anyway...

It was 4 tiles for $60 plus $15 shipping, so about a tenner a tile plus a tenner shipping. Didn't seem bad if it stops me losing things which cost way more. Mind you, what happens if I lose my iPhone?!

Really interesting done more reading you don't have to replace after year they recommend as battery wears down and less reliable. And they are working on Android version but for now only iOS.
