Does anyone know of any neurological imaging that can pick up any type of metabolic or poision injury? My doctor says there isn't one

Metabolic Injury
I didn't completely read any of the links, but it looks like both CT & MRI scanning can show the damage. google.com/search?client=sa...
Here is a link wt actual results. I would try and find another doctor. ajnr.org/content/27/2/452.full
Sorry the second link is for methanol poisoning, but it is still a chemical poisoning. I highly doubt that CT & MRI tests don't read read alcohol poisoning an it's effects. I'll read more in the first google link, that I sent you.
If alcohol poisoning harms you it's through not enough glucose reaching ur brain which causes direct cerebral dysfunction. That can only be picked up by neuropsychological tests.
I had a very poor MRI done at the hospital after my fall, 2 years ago, at the ER. It didn't see anything, but then again they weren't looking for a hypoxic injury. My initial tests after my hypoxic injury, they read that I had global damage. Somehow they read this, but I'm not sure what the test they administered to me was.
I just found this on a site about anoxic injury - Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) can show if there is brain swelling and give an indication of the degree of damage to the brain and the areas affected, so I really cannot see how and why a CT or MRI scan following your injury wouldn't also show the amount of damage from hypoxia. It would just be less severe.
That is only if they gave you testing following your injury. If they failed to do that, then why? If they didn't give you a CT, or MRI following your injury, then I suppose were both in the same boat, as I lost my records about ten years ago. All that we can do is base our injury on what we have the most trouble wt, and our neuropysch tests. Still sometimes our recovery looks a lot different then initial results., so not knowing the original tests, could be a blessing. Also I'm sure that your family is still holding on to your medical records from your accident date, and hospitals are required by law to hold on to them for at least 3 years, and sometimes hold onto them for longer.
My injury is "cerebrovascular" so it's not purely lack of oxygen. It's more lack of glucose-energy. And no I did not recieve a ct scan. I never got taken to the hospital, that's why I have damage.
Brain swelling caused by hypoxia, anoxia, alcohol poisoning, methanol poisoning, impact, or what have you is still brain swelling, and as far as I can understand should still be picked up on scans. As long as it was done, soon after the injury.
Sorry for my last post, this site doesn't always send posts on time. You are obviously still bright, and as more time passes you will recapture more of your lost self. Unfortunately they didn't give you any tests following your injury. That can be both good and bad. You won't have anything to compare your progress too, but you also won't have an initial scan haunting you. You did get a neuro psyche exam recently though, and believe me when I say this, every time they give it to you in the future, you will improve
I only read new posts after I post or refresh the page. Won't happen while I'm typing.
