Going back to the therapist soon and have been asked to write down the problems I have had just considering sleepwalking but after reading up on sleepwalking it would not fit going to ask the therapist if it could have been something else as you dont sleepwalk during the day what do you guys think

I don't have them dillm but I know that others do after BI. I'd certainly mention it if you've had peculiar episodes. Funny you should mention sleepwalking though ; I had a few episodes of that in hospital after my SAH & never had it 'til then.

Yep, I can confirm that it is indeed possible and I believe relatively common. I developed epilepsy eight months after my injury

Dear Dillm2,

we would always suggest going to see your GP if you have developed new symptoms, they can refer you on to the relevant specialist to explore further.

Best wishes

Very possible, I have grand mal seizures now since about 6 months after the stroke.

YES. I HAVE TEMPORAL LOBE EPILEPSY CAUSED BY BI. I HAD A GRAND MAL TO START IT OFF & 16 YRS OF SIMPLE PARTIAL SEIZURES WITH A FEW MORE SERIOUS ONES THROWN IN OVER THE YEARS. CAN YOU CHECK WITH YOUR NEURO? , I'VE FOUND THEM THE BEST PEOPLE TO ASSESS THIS SORT OF STUFF AS THEY UNDERSTAND THE TBI.

Hi just to clarify

Over the first 10 years after my TBI I used to have episodes where I would go to bed and find my sisters waking me up to go back to my own bed

I also had the discomfort of being sent to family friends for a cup of sugar getting to the back door and then being brought out of a trance????? to be asked what I had come for which I had forgotten

30 yrs ago when I was working I called at a customers, when the door was answered I walked straight in went to their toilet and then walked back out to their amazement I then carried on ( I was not driving )

I then thought I had not called and then went back to be told what had happened luckily the lady of the house was a nurse and asked if i suffered from epilepsy to which I said no

I suffered petit mals for about a year after my surgery, they were annoying and I'm happy to no longer have them.
