Does any one have a headache on the hairline part of the skull (front)

I have often woke up with a headache and have generally just put it down to me eyes and ignore it

It's only recently I have realised where the pain is after reading the Headway site

Mine's usually in that area. What was it you read on Headway ?

I Can't remember but I think I read that if you suffer tiredness and headache it may be a good idea to mention it to your gp

Sorry happens a lot a i read something but can never remember where

I get more headaches than I used to, but they are diffuse rather than localised, if it's cold and raining then the line of the fracture is gets fairly uncomftable!

Yes, I get headaches in that area most of the time. And some real corkers in my temples too. Feels like somebody is twisting a hot dagger in my head

Funny, I dont get headaches, but I have this feeling of increased pressure which I take now as my version of a headache so I take painkillers and it does improve it, only taken me 2 years to suss that out !!! Doh!!!

Thanks going to see gp on Monday and I have a list of symptoms I am going to raise with him

I find it difficult to identify where my headache is and how to describe it.

How do you do it ?

in reply to sospan

sorry for late reply

I just realised that the headache was on the hairline of my skull and started above my ear and carried on across my skull

MY NEURO SAYS WHAT I DO IS CALLED TRACING THE PAIN. I CAN FEEL ROUGHLY WHERE THE HEADACHE IS & ALL I DO IS GENTLY RUN MY FINGERS OVER MY HEAD UNTIL I FEEL THEY'RE ON THE RIGHT SPOT. SOUNSE WEIRD AS I CAN'T FEEL MY BRAIN THROUGH MY SKULL OBVIOUSLY BUT I SEEM TO KNOW WHEN I GET TO THE RIGHT AREA.

I GIVE MY HEADACHES NAMES TO TRY & DESCRIBE THEM, HERE ARE A FEW - THEY ARE W BIT WEIRD I KNOW BUT IT'S WHAT I PICTURE IN MY MIND'S EYE.

THE ICE PICK - FEELD LIKE SOMEONE IF SMACKING AN ICE PICK THROUGH MY SKULL

KNITTING NEEDLE - FEELS LIKE SOMEONE IS POKING A KNITTING NEEDLE SHAPED OBJECT THROUGH THE TOP OF MY HEAD & DOWN THOUGH MY EYE SOCKET

ARTEX - YOU KNOW THE ROUGH TEXTURE OF AN ARTEX CEILING, I HAVE A HEADACHE WHERE MY BRAIN FEELS LIKE IT IS SCRAPING ON THE INSIDE OF MY SKULL & GRATING ON SOMETHING WITH THE TEXTURE OF ARTEX CEILINGS!

FINALLY (I PROMISE!) THE BEANIE - WHEN THE PAIN COVERS MY WHOLE HEAD FROM FOREHEAD OVER THE TOP & DOWN TO THE TOP OF MY SPINE IT FEELS LIKE I'M WEARING A BEANIE HAT MADE OF PAIN.

YES IT ALL SOUNDS PRETTY BIZARRE BUT IT'S THE ONLY WAY I'VE FOUND OF GIVING PEOPLE EVEN AN INKLING OF THE PAIN INVOLVED IN MY BI,

BEST OF LUCK!
